July 17 Edition
Welcome to the very first edition of The Journal - Fox & Fallow’s monthly publication where we’ll talk about what been going on behind the scenes, what’s up next, our inspirations, obsessions and more!
Last month was all about the National Stationery Show where we debuted our new Summer collections: Dark Romance & Wanderlust. It was so great catching up with friends and our lovely retailers and having a chance for some proper face time! But after a whirlwind trip, we had to pack up our crate and say goodbye to beautiful New York and head back home to Brisbane.
We’re also excited to announce our partnership with Small World Distribution in New Zealand! We’re looking forward to bringing Fox & Fallow to more of our Kiwi friends! If you’re a store in NZ and you’re interested in stocking our line please feel free to get in touch with us or Small World’s director, Ami Muir!
What's on the agenda
Hello Atlanta!!! Janet is heading to Atlanta for the first time for the AmericasMart Gift Show and will be there from the Friday 14th - Sunday 16th of July (although the show runs from the 11th-18th).
Come say hi and see all our new collections up close! Janet will be in the Daniel*Richards Showroom in building 2, suite #1634. She’s super excited to see all our American friends again and taste some amazing fried green tomatoes!
Pink Olive • Grace Kang
Each month we’re highlighting one of our favorite retailers and for our very first Journal we’d like to introduce Grace Kang from Pink Olive. Grace is one seriously impressive lady - she’s opened not one, not two, but FIVE stores in New York (and each one is seriously gorgeous) and she has built an incredible brand and team along the way. Grace was one of our earliest supporters and is such a cheerleader for women in business.
Next time you’re in New York (or you need some serious eye candy) be sure to visit one of her beautiful stores or visit pinkolive.com

Their mission: to inspire and celebrate the little things – one person, one gift and one neighborhood at a time.
Since the original East Village location’s opening ten years ago, Pink Olive has cultivated a shop-around-the-corner vibe with their regulars and a dedicated Instagram community who thrive on the #dailydoseofwhimsy and sneak peeks of new products. Their shops reflect a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern living. Pink Olive’s top designers include Rifle Paper Co., Emily McDowell, Ban.do, P.F. Candle Co, Maileg, Rylee & Cru, Pink Chicken, Mr. Boddington and Fox & Fallow :) along with their in-house “you are loved” line that includes candles, mugs and more.
What's Grace Crushing on?
All things outdoor/nature and bringing it indoors -- mountains, fresh air, plants, flowers, campfire.
Behind the scenes
Our Wildflower collection was inspired by Australian native flora – waratahs, wattle, bottlebrushes & banksias, all hand painted in a soft palette of dusty blues, greens, peaches and pinks. Every product begins with a sketch which is then painted, scanned and composted in Photoshop & InDesign to create the final product. Here’s a look at our design process from concept to completion.
